Kyusho Night Fun

So we had another fun night of Kyusho practice last night.

We went over the five anxiety/stress relief points and learned the proper techniques with which to apply pressure in order to get the desired results. We also learned a headache recipe to alleviate headaches manifesting in the central part of the head.

We introduced two legs points - SP6 and SP9. SP6 (3 Yin crossing point) is worthy of further research as it can be used as a healing point as well as a great touch/strike point.

We also looked at GV26 and CV24. These two points on the center line of the head are easily accessible and provide immediate relief from those dreaded close talkers that we want to back off just a little bit!

We also had time to just play a bit and I enjoyed heightening my skills of accessing LU5 on a couple of helpful partners.

Knowing where a point is intellectually is just the beginning folks. It takes a lot of practice (skill) to access these points in real time. But when you have built the skills; the results are amazing!

Last thing I did was explore the GB26 point with a specific tai chi form, right hand thrust/left hand thrust as I thought GB26 would be a worthy target for this form. Our research proved otherwise. This was an example of us literally mining the gold of these practices. We experiment in real time on partners to see if what we are thinking is actually applicable. A negative result is just as important as a positive result and we'll remember it because of the hands on nature of the exercises.

Peace

Rod
