Lots of Action behind the scenes!

Just wanted to touch base with everyone and fill you in on the details that are happening behind the scenes.
The Youtube channel is now up and running!
Learning a lesson is relatively easy (if taught well) but sometimes retaining it is difficult simply because of the amount of information required to be digested. So my goal is to have an online resource for the students that is easily accessable and acts as a library of knowledge that can be referenced over and over. So we'll continue to build up the videos over time and I'd like some feedback from the membership on how the channle can be improved keeping in mind the above goals.
The new studio space is coming along very well and I anticipate holding classes in there by mid April. The space is bright and clean and I think the laminate floor will be huge hit with the membership. Also take a look at the new backlit sign at the front on the building, it’s SWEET! I thuink it’s wonderful the BTC thinks enough of our contribution to the club that they have advertised specifically for our Tai Chi & Qigong classes (Thx Don & Lisa!)
Our next Kyusho session is coming up on the 2nd Friday of April and it’ll be interesting to see the growth of the members regarding how they see kyusho contributing to their overall knowledge and martial abilities.
I am in talks to bring Evan Pantazi (head of Kyusho International) up from the USA to hold a seminar. I’m thinking of inviting local media out to report on the seminar. I think that witnessing the level of skill that Master Pantazi brings to the table will not only heighten the current memberships interest and respect in kyusho, but also entice other local martial artists to visit our sessions and maybe join up.
I am also talking with Sifu Mark Rasmus of Thailand to come visit us for a week in late August. Sifu Rasmus will be touring the USA this summer with stops in California, Arizona, Texas, Tennessee, Maryland and New York. He has been a major influence to me and getting to spend a week with a player of his ability should not be missed by anyone who considers themselves a committed tai chi player. Sifu Rasmus is one of only a few tai chi players that I know of that have harnessed the mind to such an extent that physical manipulation of an opponent becomes easily achievable. He has a deep background in both the external and internal martial arts as well as esoteric/hermetic knowledge. Sifu Rasmus is also one of the few teachers that will share everything they know with those that are open enough to listen.
Master Cheung has been scheduled to teach a Level 2 Shibashi workshop in September and I’m hoping we get another great turnout. So far three of our students have received their Shibashi Level 1 instructor certificates from Master Cheung and another student is just in the process of submitting her video and oral responses in the hopes of achieving her instructor honours as well.
Talk soon,
Rod
