Lunch with Sifu Cheung
12/08/2011 07:47Blair and I made the trek down to Markham on Thursday to have lunch with Sifu Cheung. It was a pleasure to see Sifu again. As always, he was in good spirits and we chatted cordially about some of the seminars he has booked that will take him all over the world.
Sifu was very accommodating with our questions about specific qigong topics and freely gave his advice when asked for. It was very interesting to watch Sifu as he would always take a moment before he answered any question and then the answer would be a short phrase that drove right to the heart of the inquiry. His words would resonate within me validating that what he had said was correct.
The “loudest” piece of advice I heard was to meditate more. This instruction came to us as we were specifically talking about the current change in consciousness that is taking place worldwide.
I explained to Sifu what was happening when I meditated and he instructed me on how to open a “new door”. I will work on this and perhaps share my experience at a later date.
At one point Sifu and I were alone and discussing how to make the best use of ones time and energy in order to make the greatest gains in consciousness when he turned to me and in his quiet demeanor instructed, “the only way out is self mastery.”
Wise words indeed.
Peace
Rod
